Northwest Regional Health now offers interventional Pain Management procedures. Dr. Rachel Roberts and Dr. Robert Nesbitt specialize in interventional procedures that directly alleviate pain including Facets Injections, Large Joint Injections, Selective Nerve Root Blocks, Epidural Steroid Injections, and Sacroiliac Joint Injections.
Rachel Roberts, MD, originally from Decatur, Alabama, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from Samford University. She subsequently completed medical school at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, and her professional training in both Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Management at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Roberts is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management. She is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
Robert W. Nesbitt
A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Robert W. Nesbitt, MD earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa). He earned doctoral degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) where he also completed his internship and residency in anesthesiology. Dr. Nesbitt is board certified with the American Board of Anesthesiology and a diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management. He is also a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of International Pain Physicians and the International Spine Intervention Society.
